It is a perennial pumpkin vegetable. It is used for cooking as a vegetable. Once the seeds of Kakoda are sown, the female plant produces fruits for about 8-10 years. Medicinal properties are also found in it. Kakoda consumption relieves phlegm, cough, anorexia, Vata, bile and heart pain. Its roots are used to stop bleeding in piles. Climate & Land
